How We Managed 13 SAP Site Rollouts to Support Infrastructure Group
Fluor’s Infrastructure Group (I&I Business line) supports various large scale “builds” (Roads, Bridges, Rail, etc.) across the world. The I&I team opted to implement SAP for each individual JV / “Instance.” Fluor I&I needed a trusted partner to not only manage the installation of each of 13 SAP environments, but also handle day-to-day ongoing leadership over enhancements and defect support.

Rolling Out 13 SAP Installations
APPROACH
The approach was quite simple: get the detailed requirements for each “instance”, bring up a vanilla SAP environment in 30 days (or less), begin operational use of the new SAP instance.
Solution / RESULTS
Over the course of several years, and various project awards, the team was successful in building out the initial site in 9 months, the second site in 6 months, the third site in 3 months, and then sites 4-13 in less than 30 days each.
To date, Fluor has managed over $1.8b in revenue thru these 13 site instances.
